Hatteras??

We've had a few nice days here so far in May.
A little bewildered today with W/SW switching to W/NW, went to Cap d Cocange and it was totally on shore. Too hard for me to ride there (oh, 14- 18 knots). So I went to Parlee and it was side/ onshore, but a little offshore as well. Lol. I went out, but the wind died after an hour.
Would anyone be interested in making a chart for where the best spot to go is in certain winds?
I'm not sure if there is still a stigma surrounding when and where to ride (secret spots), but it would help me out.
I also realize it will help when you all get back from PARADISE!!
Just curious how you guys (and gals) are making out at the Cape?!
