Flat water video from Halifax

It's open season in the Halifax area! Windsurfers have been using this location for decades. Turns out to be even better for kiters. The smaller fins pretty much allow us to go expore all of Cole Harbour - which is huge and full of narrow channels running thru grassy islands. It's the Hatteras of Canada!

Man that looks like an excellent spot! I can't help thinking NS must have dozens of spots just waiting to be found

We got water around here as well... just waiting for some warmer air now. I missed a couple days last week where it was close to 10deg and sunny... now we're back into some BS winter like weather again

The spot is known locally as The Gun Club because the launch is right in front of (but out of range of ) a skeet club. This spot is the back side of a popular beach- Rainbow Haven and is part of Cole Harbour.

Cole Harbour is huge. Similiar in size to the Bedford Basin area of the Halifax Harbour. Huge. As such, it works in any wind direction but we usually go on anything but Southerly just cuz there are waves in other spots.

And yes, I'm sure there are lots of undiscovered spots in NS waiting to be found. Kiting on the frontier, bro.
