Wednesday early downwinder

Post by Sebas on Tue Sep 18, 2012 6:13 pm

Hey,

Is anyone in for a crazy early downwinder tommorow morning. I'm thinking something like 0730h at Cassie Cape and hoping to get two runs in as I need to be in Moncton at 1000h. The outlook looks warm (17 celcius) and windy (30 kmh) with rain (10mm) in the afternoon.

Let me know.

I would be carefull about riding tomorrow morning, it's calling for much more than 30km/h winds. It's calling for 35-45 knots, that's enough to get seriously hurt with even a 4-6m kite.

Every forecast I've seen is 20-40 knots by morning. Here's a copy of the gale warning from EC:

south 25 to 35 before morning. Wind increasing to south 35 to 45 early Wednesday morning

For myself, at 195lbs, who likes to hold power, 45 knot gusts are a lot, maybe too much, on my 8m. Dave would be out on his 4 in that weather and definitely not self launching & landing.

Windguru estimates wind will die down arround 6, is anyone trying to get out arround then?
