Good news. The doc saved my finger with needle and thread. Bad news. Doc says stay out of the water for 12 days. Thats going to hurt a lot more than the stiches.

A line went around my finger during a release. Let this be a lesson to all you children out there, stay away from the lines untill the kite is flagged and settled down.

I feel your pain man.
I learned a hard lesson about fingers when I was 4... keep em away from sharp rotating blades (fricken push mower). So me and stitches don't get along at all. In fact I think the stitches were worse.
Anyways I have a built in reminder that helps me keep track of my fingers when kiting
