Plexiglass board???

what do you guys think of a thin plexiglass board, guessing around 0.1 inch thick, reinforced with lots of epoxy and glass fibre?

I made a few boards back in the day to save a few bucks, honestly I think your better off finding a 2nd hand board. But if your looking to build for the fun of building there's probably other forums on board building you would find usefull

yeah its mostly because id think it would be incredibly cool to have a crystal clear board so you can see in the water, and i still have your mako and love it marcel haha

1/10 of inch is pretty thin... you'd need to use several layers to get the stiffness right. I think you'd need about 3/8 " thick in the middle and thinner at the tips. They use acrylite in the video above.

well that's were the epoxy comes into play with the fiberglass sheets, it would stay clear and make really strong and stiff right? thanks for the link!
